Whats messing you up is the copy protection on the disks (more than likely).
Many games use a slightly modified DOS or track/sector layout to keep
people from copying them. Actually, thats why copy ][+ existed in the
first place.

Ah, the happy carefree days of software piracy. Staying up all night
to 'crack' the game you just bought (often more fun than the game
itself). AEs full of copyrighted software. Wandering around
modem-land at 300 baud. Issues of Nibble with more ads than articles.
