Apple has not really modified the Disk II drive over the last 12 or so
years that it has been out. They added a few things to the ROM for daisy
chaining and some stuff so that the computer doesn't sit there and try to read
from it all day, but all and all, its still the same mechinism. Amazing though
that Apple still charges $250 retail for it....
