Herbert Fung asked about converting a grey-scale scanner to a color scanner.

Funny the question should come just now, as I just in the last week got
a survey card from Vitesse (the Quickie scanner people) asking if I
would be interested in a kit to convert my scanner to color! They asked
if I would be willing to pay on the order of $100 for this conversion.

Anyone that is interested: get in touch with Vitesse and let them know,
before they loose interest.
