AE Fastmath

I have an AE fastmath card that served quite well to speed up a statistics
program written in Applesoft BASIC (AppStats).  This was accomplished by a
set of Ampersand commands that AE developed and shipped with the product. 
I'd like to extend the functionality of this math coprocessor to other,
newer areas of my computing activities like HyperCard GS, AppleWorks 3.0
and AppleWorks GS (the spreadsheets particularly).

I have phoned and written AE on several occasions about this.  They have no
plans to develop any more software tools for this card.  Sooooo, I was
wondering if anyone out there has (1) figured out what would solve this
problem in the most elegant (cheap, good & fast) way and (2) actually
effected a solution.

Not having the talent to program system extensions, XCMDs and the like, I
am at a lost to even identify what it would take to have the power of this
math coprocessor available to the programs I use.  Any help will be greatly
appreciated.
