  James, according to my understanding of the project it's got a 65816
on it to handle processing of incoming data and the lower couple
AppleTalk protocols.  The software right there is bigger than a IIe ROM.
Also, cramming all that stuff onto an interface card probably requires
more thought as to noise problems, heat, hysteresis, etc.  I can 
easily imagine the complexity of the card.
