OK, folks:
I was trying to download some files (say, for example,
the system 6 software from ftp.apple.com) and when I tried to
get the file, I received the error "not a plain file". I
tried it with both ascii "type is A" and binary "type is I".
Is this because the files have resource forks? What is the
cause of the problem and how do I correct it? help and remotehelp
have been most unhelpful...
By the way, I've run into this problem on other servers as well.
Thanks in advance.
