Re: Help with the ZipGSX accelerator card

Hello,

I came across an Apple II with a ZipGSX accelerator card in it. I need
money for school so I wish to sell the card. reading manuals online I
found that the old CPU was "stored" in a place on the end. So I took
the ZipGSX out of my apple, and removed the CPU that was in it and
placed it back in my computer which boots fine and everything.

my question is, does removing the "stored" cpu do anything for it?

in this picture:

you can see on the far right there is a slot for "original", that is
where I took the CPU out and put it back in my computer. Is it OK to
sell like this?

The socket is intended to provide safe-keeping for the original CPU. I seriously doubt a purchaser would care if it was unpopulated.
