The simplest way to use the 27256 as a 27128 is to pull up Pin-27 (A14) and it IS technically a 27128. I have done this many times.Simple.. but looks like, and is, a hack and the thing runs the risk of being broken.Just double program it so you don't have to worry about it.
That's bull. I've done this many times with other upper address lines. Besides, Pin-27 is pulled low on boards that use the 27128, and I only meant when burning it.
