In contrast to "common knowledge" PCs without special/modified drives
_CAN_ read Apple2 5 1/4" floppies. Check out my usenet posting
'Reading Apple2 floppies on a PC using Disk2FDI' to read that it can
be done with a standard TEAC (and some others) 5 1/4" PC drive.
In case you don't have a (wirking) Apple2 anymore and don't want to
give your valuable original floppies away this might be a viable
option too...
