Hello!
I've been fiddling with the Vulcan cards for a few months now and am
happy that Bill Garber and Henry Courbis have been assisting me in
figuring out how to make these useful again (besides using the
original drives).
Two things we really need are two different versions of the ROM chip
from a IIe Vulcan card.
We're pretty set with the IIgs Vulcan cards ROM versions unless you
have one we don't have listed (1.2/20, 1.4/40 and 2.0 GOLD).
Correction: We have v1.2_GS20, v1.2_GS40, v1.4_GS20, v1.4_GS40, and 2.0 GOLD.
Can anyone loan us a ROM and/or card so we can dump the ROM to see if
we can get the cards working in the IIe and IIgs with additional
drives and CF cards?
We basically need any ROM that works in a IIe, which would most
likely be only 20 and 40 MB versions.
Any help would be tremendous!
Once we've got everything figured out (if possible), I'll also make
available the list of drives I have tested with the cards if you are
going for the more "restoration" route. If the cards can be re-
purposed for CF cards, we'll make that available as well!
Best,
ATF
My quest to get CF cards working on the Vulcan controllers is
mainly a personal endeavor, however, anything I should develop
will be made available to all. Thank you.
