Sorry about the confusion. It's not a USB port for the Apple II. It's
a device that makes it easy to get software from your PC to an IDE
device located inside the Apple II. Saves opening the case to get to
the IDE device or cutting slots in the case or having the IDE device
located outside the case.

I am going to try to get my hands on an CFFA and a Focus card. If
these cards have high impedance on the bus when the cards are powered
off then it makes the adapter simpler (no need for the multiplexer
chips).

Not sure if I will ever get it past this stage.

I emailed Richard Dreher (creator of the CFFA card) and asked him to
consider adding the idea to his future card. Maybe if he gets enough
requests you will see it there.
