Re: Cleaning old Apple II cards?

What would you recommend for drying? Air drying or actually using
something like a hair dryer on low to no heat? And then on a second
pass using an air compressor to make sure water gets caught anywhere?

I have a IIe unenhanced motherboard that is amazingly dirty here that
would make an excellent test candidate.

Since we clean boards every day, we've made our own "doghouse" -- a drying
oven made out of plywood and heat lamps and a blower. But if you're not
pressed for time, I've had boards dry just fine by leaning them against an
outside wall for a day or so. In really hot weather like we've been having
here in Texas lately, a board can dry completely in just a few hours.

You can use your mouth to blow some air underneath sockets and connectors to
make sure there aren't any water pockets underneath them, just to make sure.
Or use a bicycle pump or something like that...
