Hello,
I'll have to take a look. I actually have three Vulcan GS cards so I
took photos of all of them and compared.
Originally two of them came with dead 20mb drives. Their original ROMs
were labeled VUL1.4/GS20. The third card came with a dead 40mb drive
and a ROM labeled VUL1.4/GS40.
The Vulcan GS card with the 40mb drive does not have the capacitor and
is Rev A 3489.
The other two Vulcan GS cards that came with the 20mb drives _do_ have
the capacitor and are Rev A 4589.
Pictures here;

I thought one of the cards was dead but then I noticed a leaking cap.
Time to pull the soldering iron out! I'll re-try the IIe 1.4 ROM Henry
sent me and see if I originally tested it in a bad card.
Best!
