Yes, the tilt was electric, mostly for the same reason I mentioned
about the neck PCB. To keep it from being slammed, and operated in one
direction, so you just went all the way down and then all the way up
and back.

This was another common failure, this gets stuck, usually at an
undesirable angle. ;-)

The stuck was the motor burning out due to the physics involved, the
weight of the CRT and the lubrication used having dried up.
