Lake Winnipeg says it all.Trust me, my ancestors/cousins were north of the border shortly after our Revolution, and they were south of the border three generations before that. Before spelling became more standardized, they spelled it several ways, but Sturgeon wasn't one of them. It's only more complicated when both names exist in the same county.
