I'm finally nearly finished rescanning books so that I have improved
master copies for future sales of the books I sell through Syndicomm.
I've managed to find original copies I could remove from their binding
for a large number of them and much closer to original (but still
copies) of a number of the ones that were just horrible copies-of-
copies-of-copies masters before. This involved a lot of bartering and
a few purchases on eBay to pull off.
I've been rescanning using my new Fuji ScanSnap S510M scanner, which
has been doing a beautiful job, and the latest Acrobat, which does a
better than ever job of cleaning up the scans. The results are much,
much better than what I had before, especially where I can scan from
original books.
There are still a few I'd like to find originals of if possible, and I
thought I'd throw a note out on csa2 to see if anyone can help.
Books I have good photocopies of but would like to find originals:
HyperCard IIgs Reference
HyperCard IIgs: Scripting
HyperCard IIgs: Getting Started
Apple IIc Technical Reference, Second Edition (this covers the IIc and
IIc+)
Books I have a personal copy of but would like to avoid having to
dismantle:
HyperCard IIgs Script Language Guide
BASIC Programming with ProDOS
I don't actually currently sell either of these two because I've never
had masters, even though my license does permit me to sell them.
If you have copies of any of these in decent shape (ie, not all marked
up or torn) you'd be willing to part with and have their bindings
removed (I can return the pages if you want them back), please drop me
a note so we can talk about it.
Thanks,
Sheppy
