I have two Zip Chips. A Zip II-4 and a Zip 4000. I've had the II-4 for
years in
a static bag and found it one day to my surprise.

The Zip 4000 I got for $50 on eBay and it worked twice before dying.

Sigh.

It boots and then goes into some sort of hex dump and error.

Blah I say!
