I had this diabolical idea once of having a 24 node GS beowolf cluster
based bbs linked up via AppleTalk to a mac slave which would act as
the primary drive.  Each node would have a copy of the bbs in ramdisk
while only messages would be saved and exchanged through the Mac's
Hard Drvie.  Each motherboard would likewise be hooked up via 115,200k
serial port to a PortServer which would enable serial access via
telnet from the internet.  I didn't come across 24 motherboards,
instead I found a guy who wanted to unload 150, so I jumped on the
opportunity and they've sat in 4 huge boxes packed like sardines for
the past 4 years.

As far as the girlfriend, she hasn't met "them" yet.  :-O  <cowers>
