I just picked up an old Performa to be able to AppleTalk to my IIGS. I'd like to link the Performa to my PC home network so I can go PC -> Mac -> IIGS without intermediate media.

The Performa seems to have an "ethernet" connector on the back, but it is different than the Cat 5 connectors my network system (Linksys) uses. I believe my network connectors are RJ45.

If it's like my Quadra 610 (also a pizza-box system, but 68K instead of
PowerPC), it's an AAUI connection. An AAUI 10Base-T transceiver is what you
want; you should be able to snag one off of eBay for about $10. Here's an
example:

Scott,
I had already concluded that this transceiver was what I needed. What your post provided was a listing with "Buy it Now". It's on its way to me. I had found some other "Enter your bid" listings, but they didn't expire for another half of a week.

Thanks for posting!
