I think Katoomba-Fest sounds like a great idea.

I will be prepared to take my family down for a week or so. Most
likely drive down so if anyone in the Brisbane area that needs some
stuff taken down let me know.

My preference 1 Setup space, 2 Good Av, 3 Comfy seating.

Have you considered advertising the event? This could vary the number
of attendees greatly.
1. Send a message to the Mac user groups (catch the users that don't
visit CSA2 or A2Central frequently).
2. Send a message to other retro computer user groups.
3. There must be a few current A2 user lists from A2 suppliers (say
Juiced.GS).
4. Newspapers.

Maybe not if you want to keep it low key.
