Not only would this allow for CF or SD card access in the 
external sense, but a cable could go to a connector for an 
Apple 3.5" drive used externally as well. I've done this 
with a IIc and it's 5.25" drive while experimenting with 
adding a CF card to Slot-4 also. Speaking of, it's time 
to get back to that.  ;-)
