That is the programmer I use - no problems so far with 2716-27512 and
29F040 devices. I have not used any adapter boards with it.

About the only problem I foresee is the loss of parallel ports on new
PCs making it more difficult to use.

Agreed, but I use a junker PC for my bench machine anyway. A 10 year old P3 does a fine job for this application.

I'm going to order the Andromeda unit and try to sell the Advin off.
