Not sure about your Taxan vs. Vulcan controller issue. Is your Vulcan ROM for
the //e or is it a GS version? If you're trying to use the GS version of the
ROM in a //e, that could be the cause of many problems.

All Apple //e mobos have 64K RAM -- the extra 64K (or more) of aux RAM is
provided by an extended 80-column card (several brands were available).

I just re-read your message... Vulcan Gold is a GS ROM.
