I've swapped the cable assembly, the MFM ribbon set is untouched, though I swapped them too.. The PCBs have very few socketed IC's, and those have been reseated, the controller card had some bad caps and a bad '245 on it, I swapped those and verified it working after that. It works on a Sider with the needed changes, to put it in Sider configuration, too.
