Here are few clarifications to the HP Part#s for the interface accessories
for the LaserJet 4000 - 4350 series printers:

Notice that the J3111A adds LocalTalk to the 4000 and 4050.

Notice that the J4135A adds LocalTalk to all models from 4000 to 4350.

Notice that the J3112A adds Serial and Ethernet to the 4000 and 4050 only,
while the J4135A and J4167A will add Serial to all models from 4000 to 4350.

(Note that there is no need to add serial to the 4000 and 4050, since that
is standard).

Finally, HP is currently shipping their heavy-duty class of printers with
Model designations beginning with P40xx.

Recognize that these are different models and parts will not interchange
with the older 4000 - 4350 models. They are very fine printers, though, and
thus are fairly pricey, including all accessories.
