Don't remember the Trustor name, but mine and several others had a
Zebec controller and a Zebec card that took a standard PC hard drive
and made it work on an Apple II. I want to say it was some sort of
SASI interface (not SCSI, but related). Max I think was in the 20-40
MB range. Worked fine, even a couple of guys I knew ran BBS's off an
old Apple II+ with them.

That was my first setup as well. XEBEC card with a SASI/ST506 controller from Shreve mated to 10MB PC SASI hard drive. (http://www.swtpc.com/mholley/SASI/XEBEC.htm)

I upgrade to a SCSI to ST/506 controller next (using the SAME 10MB hard drive) and then finally bought a 60MB SCSI drive.

I had two different sets of firmware in the Xebec card. I think the company name was ATS and SLS

Hmm deja-vu just hit me ....
