Just curious -- what are the drawbacks to Xilinx ISE?
Well, my comment was a little tongue-in-cheek because I'm an Altera "fanboy" but it is generally accepted that Altera's Quartus software is much nicer to use and far less buggy than Xilinx's ISE. I would concur that that is also my personal experience - I _hate_ using ISE and have experienced bugs in both the user interface aspect and the actual design synthesis as well.
