I "progressed" from the Apple II to IBM clones in 1992 when I started
my university degree in Computer Science.

I graduated and landed a job in the insurance industry in 1996, which
allowed me to eventually go out on my own and do contacting for a few
years (also in the insurance industry). I then got bored with
insurance, dabbled with web/intranet based applications for a while
(PHP), then did a 4 year stint working on applications for the
military.

I'm currently a member of a team developing a client-server scheduling
system for the mining industry using C# and SQL Server 2005
(NHibernate, Castle Active Record, DevExpress...).

Cheers,
Mike
