I'm retired from a steel mill.  I was a maintenance machinist.

I've been interested in computers and programming them since I was a kid in 
the late 1950s but I've never held any kind of computer related job.

I bought my Apple ][+ in 1980 with the idea of using it to learn how to 
program.  Since then programming has been a hobby but since I retired I 
don't seem to have enough time to devote to it :-)
