Set that on top of the card and put the 8 44256s on the PCB.. I wonder if I still have the artwork.. and the notes. 'cause it was a PCB and a couple wires, IIRC.
You went to a lot of unnecessary work, then. Drew Vogan laid the PCB board out specifically to support this update. Just a matter of moving 8 jumpers and installing the new chips. I'll grant you that this was not a project for folks that lack soldering skills :-).
