if you have an unlimited dialing phone package like simon does, you can
get an account from the chebucto community net in eastern canada. they
offer terminal emulaton vt100, dialup, lynx menu selector and text
internet browser, ftp, upload, download, webpage space, email program -
pine, pico text editor, 22,000 non-binary newsgroups via pine or tin,
telnet, gopher etc all for $25. a year.
they need support and new users because they are a charity and non-profit
and struggling to keep going. they support all legacy and classic computer
systems like the apple2, c64/128, trs80, atari xe and st, amiga, kaypro
etc, you name it. check it out. help them and help yourslef. it's the best
deal in the world: www.chebucto.ca or telnet://chebucto.ca and login as
'guest'.
