One additional comment --

Since the LC family Macs only have one PDS slot, you can't have both a
IIe card and a NIC. Having the Mac networked would simplify
downloading disk images greatly. One way to beat having to sneakernet
floppy disks from PC to Mac is to use a program called Star Gate. It
uses a serial cable null modem and allows bidirectional file transfer
by simply dropping a file into a folder. The program is no longer sold
or supported, but I did find a web site that has the last version and
a free registration code. I didn't bookmark the URL. If you can't
locate it by Googling, I could upload it somewhere.
