There is no real need to read the PALs if the desired behavior is known.
I know absolutely nothing about the CardZ180, but if the map of ports
is known, making an equivalent PAL is trivial. Like if we know that
a routine is supposed to add two numbers, there is no need to see the
source to write your own version.
