Also, the software does not work in 32 bit mode. No to 7.6, no 32 Bit
Clean ROMs, etc.

At one point I had dual wired up an Ethernet and //e card. Both of
them were shoved in there with the lid sticking slightly higher, and
the cards made to be really close by removing the connector on the
ethernet card and attaching it to the top of the //e card with just a
few pins disconnected, similarly, disconnecting a few pins on the //e
card by cutting traces and putting 30 gauge wire in place.

SCSI ethernet blows. Both cards worked.

I did this after looking at the MultiMax box and seeing that the bus
was more like the x86 bus and less like the A2 bus.\
MicroMac was another one that would let you make an LC about as thick
as a IIsi but give you more than the IIsi did.
