Re: IC Test Card
I finally got around to testing that card and software. Assuming it
actually does any sort of real test, it does seem to work with the
dozen or so TTL chips I tried. I don't have any known bad chips on
hand to test, but when I purposely entered a wrong number for a chip,
I got an error.
I do have one problem. The software asks you to enter the chip number
for TTL in this format "**-**-***" (the asterisks are actually
displayed on screen). So, for a 74LS06, you would enter 74LS006. This
is no big deal. However, I can't figure out how to enter the non-LS
part number. I tried 74**006 and 7400006, but they don't work. When
using the "Search" function in the software, it just suggests "006".
The manual (which is almost useless) does list a plain 7406 as being
supported. Any suggestions?
