I read a new article about mockingboard clone today.
I think there will be many people who want to get that card.
I bought 2 clone cards to play ultima V with a full support last
week.
(As you know, Ultima V support dual mockingboards ^^;;)
There are many vintage apple enthusiasts in our cafe
(http://cafe.naver.com/appleii.cafe)
And many H/W expert and S/W programmers started several
projects in these days as follows~
1. Virtual Disk Project
SD-card or...any other method, disk emulation project
2. Apple //k Project
New Apple II with many advanced H/W features like MP3 playing,
Linux, ...
3. Mocking Board Clone (Done!!!)

When I saw the article "Apple II Quickies (10-09-08) UPDATED", I
decided to let you know about our group, apple II cafe in Korea
(http://cafe.naver.com/appleii.cafe).
We are a group of vintage apple enthusiasts, just like you guys.
Some of us just collect vintage computers (including but not limited
to
apples), some of us try to remake apple or its periperals, and some
of us just play too-long-ago-games from time to time.
We have a couple of hobby-projects going on in our cafe, and one of
the most-desired have been making mockingboard clones. Fortunately
for us, the man whose id is Sa-nyang-ggun (which means hunter in
Korean)
decided to make the clones by himself.
It took more than a year for him to make the decision, but it took
just a few weeks for him to make some boards. The harder part was to
get those ancient chips as well as to test the boards. His friends
and some of the other members of our cafe volunteered to help him,
and
the dream was realized finally.
The board was sold out like a mad in our cafe. Even, some of us -
including myself - bought two mockingboards. Hey, I just wanted to
play my Ultima IV with full background music, that's all. Who can
resist this?
As far as I know, there are just a few boards that are not sold out
yet. Sa-nyang-ggun will sell them one by one on eBay, so if you want
to have one (or two), try not to lose this chance.
Thanks~
