I recall there was some discussion in the past on the Vulcan,
and it's predilection for 20/40MB drives of certain geometries.
Did someone convert one for use with CF? Looking for some details.
I had once come across a single 20MB CF card which I have attached
to a Vulcan controller. It was heck to get it working, but works ok
now that I finally got it going. It will 'not' work with anything
other size at present.
The project I'm looking over is a Vulcan //e - not GS. I'm
considering changing out the drive mech, and substituting
a CF. I don't want to toss the controller, as this is a
(mostly) special restoration project.
Mine has a ROM labeled:
Copyright 1989, Applied Engineering, REV 1.2, VUL GS/20
Whatever that means. ;-)
