AppleWriter ][ 2.0 that is. There were several revisions of pre ]
[ AppleWriter - the early ones used inverse characters to fake
lowercase support and wrote non-standard binary files. AppleWriter ]
[ DOS is very similar to the ProDOS version. About the only thing
you'll miss is correct support for the alternate display mode - if you
run it on a IIe or IIc you'll get the odd mousetext character where
there should have been something else.

Absolutely! WPL makes AppleWriter the 'emacs' of Apple II text
editors.
