I liked the TWGS for its built in control panel, although I have a Control Panel installed in GS/OS to force enable the cache. Actually that $25 got me more then a TWGS. A friend was clearing out IIgs hardware and I got a PC Transporter w/Colorswitch card, a SuperSonic stereo card, and the TWGS with 8k and 32k cache cards.

The TWGS was "dodgy" in my friend's machine. I don't recall exactly how I fixed it, I recall heat was an issue along with the CPU cable. A System Saver, a 14Mhz Sanyo 65816, and a Bill Shuff (how I ran into him is a story itself) built CPU cable made it pretty rock solid. I still get strange crashes when using Marinetti with that card, don't know if its a bug in that software or hardware related, turning off the TWGS seems to fix it. Then again, I'm also still using a stock IIgs power supply. Right now the card is running at 12.5Mhz, I tried for 16Mhz but the ROM 01 board is just too noisy. The bus slowdown logic kicked in late and reeked havoc on the timing sensitive 3.5" disk access.
