Re: IIGS partial success

Thanks, Michael. I'm still rusty on volume copying. How would one go
about doing that?
If you have ProSel, there is a Volume Copy utility that is very fast
and versatile in its error handling. I strongly recommend it.
Copy II Plus supports volume copy as "disk copy", though I don't think
I've ever used it for large volumes, and IIRC, it quits if it encounters
an error.
The GSOS finder also support volume copy, IIRC, by dragging and dropping
(but I expect it also quits if it encounters an error).

Here's a brief update of my re-entry into IIGS land. It's been a bumpy
ride so far, but here goes:

allowed me to access the contents of my 80MB hard drive. I've
trepiditiously been copying over files (between a staggering number of
reboots).
It will be much faster and just as "accurate" to do a volume copy
to another partition. You can then recover the files from the known-
good partition at your leisure.
