Hi,
My Uthernet card seems to be dead, or at least partially so.
Here's the rundown.
IIGS rom 3, microdrive w/ GS/OS 6.0.1, RAM4GS, no accelerator.
Uthernet card in slot 4, LAN slot set likewise.
TCP/IP settings:
IP: 192.168.10.65
Netmask: 255.255.255.0
Gateway: 192.168.10.1
DNS: 208.67.222.222
These are correct for my network.
Here are the symptoms i notice.
Marinetti will not connect to the network, TCP/IP panel says connection
to the network aborted when
I click to connect.
SAFE2 ftp application cannot connect to the network.
Contiki web browser cannot resolve host.
ADTPro 1.0.6 bombs with a BRK to 00/3D6C.
The link lights on the Uther module and on the switch its connected to
are on, and I have made no
changes in the setup under Contiki or Marinetti, no new inits, NDAs or
startup items have been
added to GS/OS. The results are the same for 'your card' and for
'mouse port' . I checked the edge
connector on the card and the IP module pins for any contamination. It
just seems to have stopped working.
I Don't quite understand what's happening, since all of the above used to work.
Let me add, this only -->seems<-- to happen when the system is warmed
up. I am using a System
Saver IIGS. This might just be coincedental, however.
I have done a self test, and run the IIGS Diagnostics disk on a warm
system and it passes both,
except for the IIGS memory expansion card test, of course.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Matt
