It's "show politics" for the media and ultimately for the
"entertainment" of the people. Sensationalism is a factor
for relativity:

More people are dying on the street each year than by
airplane crashes or sunken ships.

Yet no housewife panics if hubby drives with his car to work.

A single planecrash somewhere and surprise!: You get a bad
feeling when you enter a plane...
