Here's the last email I had time to send before work this AM. I hope you
enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it. Truthfully I'd rather be
programming but this.

Dear Keith,
At this point since stockhunt is now blocking communications without an
apology for their actions I think the thing to do is to ask the proper
authorities for a full investigation into their marketing practices and
perhaps into other aspects of their company structure and certification by
SEC as a quote service or whatever stockhunt is. Investment advisors are
after all governed by very strict rules. I don't think SEC "smiles kindly"
on malicious marketing.
In Canada, we escalate this through the RCMP and then Interpol takes over.
Our Electronic Information and Privacy Act is reasonably strong, as is the
Canadian Securities Commission and there are other avenues to pursue as
well.
You really cannot come into people's lives in such a malicious way and get
away with it. We don't like it and information professionals like me will
ultimately take action.
Whoever has been doing this needs to be fired at the very least, or the
company is liable.
You as the registrant are resonsible for ensuring that the domain that you
are affiliated with does not engage in malicious practices and when they do
it would be considered malfeasance on your part if you did not take the
appropriate corrective action, and then the public must act.
In fact you personally as a matter of record are known by name to the very
people who have been receiving this unwarranted abuse, many who will now
consider you to be a ringleader since you put your name out as the contact
for this website and your firm's name as well. I would also think that your
firm might not appreciate the negative publicity.
An apology to all affected would be appropriate directly from the individual
or individuals involved and from you as well, and a full investigation as to
how all this took place would be in order, as a best practice.
Please don't waste my time with anything less. As you can imagine this naive
approach to promoting this company has had exactly the opposite effect. Any
attempt at blame-shifting will be transparent to my peers and to me, so
please govern your actions accordingly in following what I have outlined
above.
In anticipation of a sweet and positive reply:
Regards,
Bill Buckels
