Re: SPAM from stockhunt needs to stop

Then I wrote the lawyer back... I wasn't getting much programming done yet.
I did that later:)

WITHOUT PREJUDICE

Keith,

Regardless of the "arm's length" position that you presume to have taken,
you are the registered owner of this Internet site.

This is without doubt the worst case of abuse that I have seen in my 30
years on the Internet, and is tantamount to multiple home invasions and
privacy invasions.

If you examine the facts, your government as well as ours has indentified
SPAM as being a crime costing billions and I would argue that even an
indirect association with criminals should cause you concern. Criminal
practice can hardly be called "business".

Remember Keith, I indicated that I required an apology to all affected, and
since that is not forthcoming from you, your understanding seems lacking as
to the degree of seriousness of what somebody from this company has done,
solicited, or somehow caused to happen.

Somebody representing your internet site has obtained multiple email
accounts from some very large companies perhaps to hide their identity
(which is preposterous), and used those emails and presumably automated
techniques to generate hundreds of copies of the same spam message on
thousands of computers. They did this on multiple occasions using the
resources of some very large companies to commit this crime.

My rights and the rights of others have been violated on a massive scale
amounting to a "holocast" of SPAM. How many hundreds of thousands perhaps
millions of dollars have been spent on this already?

The pretext that somehow you as the registrant of the internet site or
anyone else associated with this company's internet prsesence is immune from
responsibility is preposterous to me.

The email providers of the accounts that have been used for this will be
notified of what has happened and the appropriate regulatory authorities in
your country and mine.

This company is a perfect target now to be made an example of. SPAM costs my
company thousands of dollars a year. As a professional Sofware Developer and
Business Consultant with Microsoft Gold Partner Status and as an IBM Global
Partner you can believe that I take what has happened here seriously.

SPAM in the home especially to this degree (I have never seen a worse case)
deserves the attention of everyone involved to whatever degree.

There is no "reasonable" tolerance. I hope I am clear.

Regards,

Bill Buckels
