Whew!  Today was packed with sessions and goings on!

Up at 7:30 AM again...  Ryan missed breakfast, but it doesn't appear
to have hurt his coding abilities... He's going strong there...

First session was Steve Weyhrich's (of Apple II History fame )
"Digitizing Your Life:Photos and Video".  He demonstrated Photoshop
Elements, and scanning tips.  I learned some stuff I'll take back to
my students.  I wonder if I can take KFest expenses off of my taxes
now.  B-)

Stavros Karatsoridis (our other Apple II Doctor) presented "Using the
Monitor in the IIgs".  I used to be a heavy user of the Monitor and
miniassembler back when I boot traced ... stuff... and it was nice to
see those old familiar commands and uses.  It's been too long, old
monitor friend.

Ryan Suenaga (aka "roomie", "Poi Boi") had a session on "Blogging for
(lots of ) fun and (a very small) profit".  He has a blog called
Uncommon Cents, and had lots of advice and stories about how to make
enough to pay for the blog and make a little on the side.  Realistic
advice but very encouraging.

After lunch, Bruce Baker presented a recurring session where he finds
more fantastic games in the archives of SoftDisk.  With hundreds of
issues of this great resource (sold in the Syndicomm Store), Bruce
will be doing this type of session for decades.  Good times!

James Littlejohn did his session on "I have a CAD program, and I'm not
afraid to use it", where he regaled us with tales of his start as one
of Apple II's newest and most prolific hardware developers.  Great
guy, and great projects!  He has something up his sleeve this year
with yet another unannounced product which will be revealed Saturday.

Eric Shepherd "Sheppy" demonstrated some new features to be found in
Sweet16, the premier Mac OS X IIgs emulator.  They include Ethernet
support (although currently limited to wired ethernet... airport had
some problems), a built in debugger (developers should be drooling),
and physical CD-ROM support... You can finally mount your "Time in a
Bottle" CD directly on Sweet16... Other features as well.  Sheppy is
the Man!

After dinner, a bunch of us went to a special showing of the 25th
Anniversary of "Wargames".   Excellent film, although we hooted when
it stopped in the middle temporarily and we got a glimpse of the
Window's Start button getting selected shortly before it started
again...  B-)

Back in the dorm, we visited yet again and Sheepy set his Wii up on
the big screen TV in the newly furnished Lounge.

Things are winding down now.  2:00 AM seems to be the new bedtime for
KFesters this year.  I remember the years when we went until 4:00 AM
and still made it to breakfast.

In years past, I posted a lot about the food here.  The food is still
fine, but I won't be talking about it.  Today, I found that I could
also be talking about the multitude of "knodding off" that a lot of us
are doing during sessions too, but I think that talking about sleep
deprivation is getting boring too.  So my final word on that subject
is that I was listening to every word.  Whatever candid photos of me
may indicate to the contrary.  B-)

Tomorrow promises to be as rich as today was.  You just won't be
hearing about my naps.  B-)
