You know that the color artifacts are part of the design, do you? ;-)

You can thank the NTSC color system for that and of course
Woz's ingenuity to create colors with only a minimum amount
of hardware.
And most programs that use colors (especially games which
use dithered hires graphics) had this kind of color generation
in mind - and not expensive RGB-cards (or even VGA).
