Anyway, he's located in South America, he's sold several copies of
this game before for various systems. He was lucky enough to come up
with the storage space of a software vendor from back in the day,
which he's been parting that out for more than a year. He has single
handedly caused the value of several previous impossible Atari
rarities to drop to very reasonable prices (Motorodeo and Ikari
Warriors). I don't know whether that's good or bad, but he has
certainly discovered an impressive volume of stuff.
The shipping cost reflects getting it somehow from South America to
the US. Plus he knows that these games will fetch a few hundred at
least, so it's not like you'll pay $10 for the game and $20 for
shipping. And there will probably be some form of registration or
insurance used. I would be totally amazed, based on my transactions
with the guy, if he was making much of anything on shipping, or
performing in a way that's dishonorable in any case.
