I think there is. Can't find my Appleworks manuals right now. Check 
*Layout->Define Fields->Field Type* change to *Calculation*. Go to The 
pull-down menu and *Weekday (serial�number)*. Or, *other*? You may have 
to combine two or more calculations to get your desired result.
