Here is what I've got so far. I still need to try with Focus
and my Apple SCSI card, (not HS), see what I get there.
========================================================
Superdrive - slot 7, CMS SCSI II - slot 5
Boots fine, driver allows all partitions on the 80 MB divided thusly,
32/32/16,
normal shut-down crashes to monitor
========================================================
Superdrive - slot 7, CMS SCSI II - slot 5, Microdrive - 64 MB CF
card - slot 2
Boots fine, driver allows all partitions, on the 80 MB divided
thusly, 32/32/16, and
both partitions on the Microdrive card, normal shut-down crashes to
monitor
========================================================
Superdrive - slot 7, CMS SCSI II - slot 5, CFFA with 32 MB CF card -
slot 2
Remove Microdrive, add CFFA with 32 MB CF card, boot from floppy
version of
GS/OS and allow CFFA, to set up the CF card, and format. Shut down
(no crash),
floppy ejects, restart. CMS and CFFA partitions are now visible.
========================================================
Superdrive - slot 7, Microdrive - slot 6 - 64 MB CF card, CMS SCSI II
- slot 5,
CFFA with 32 MB CF card - slot 2
Booting from Microdrive added CMS driver, now sees both Microdrive
partitions,
all 3 CMS partitions, and CFFA partition. Shut down does not crash.
Will look at
jumper setting of CMS card to try to alleviate the crashing.
========================================================
Obviously, there is a slot dependency where these drives are
concerned. All I can
say is, you've got to play around with it. I'll bring more tests as
time permits.
