Uh-oh...since when is AOL (you are an AOLer, right?) routing its Usenet
traffic through FidoNet? :-)
I've used "AOL" since it was AppleLink Personal Edition. (As you did,
IIRC--or did we meet on GEnie? I'm pretty sure it wasn't CompuServe.)
(This used to be a small town, and they've now built a large city
around us!)
Hell, I'm surprised that FidoNet is still in operation...used to have a BBS
on it, but I took it offline way back in 1994.
(Yours isn't the only one...I've seen several other people's posts here
duped by the aforementioned node. Odds are this post will show up twice,
once from me (posted through Giganews) and again from the errant FidoNet
node.)
I noticed that, too, but didn't say anything.
I presume it's a malfunctioning BBS site that is mistaking posts *from*
usenet for replies from its users and pumping them back into the net.
With any luck, the operator will figure it out soon... ;-)
